<p>Moco Museum Barcelona proudly presents an extraordinary exhibition space dedicated to Brian Donnelly. The renowned artist better known as KAWS has a large collection of large-scale paintings, collectible toys and sculptures. KAWS redefines the boundaries between contemporary art and pop art KAWS culture.</p>
Graffiti beginnings
Brian Donnelly, known globally as KAWS, has built a career that straddles the worlds of street art, fine art, and commercial design. Born in New Jersey in 1974, KAWS began as a graffiti artist in the early 1990s.
An Iconic Companion
In 1999, KAWS first introduced Companion, a figure inspired by Mickey Mouse but with a skull for a head, crossed-out eyes, and oversized gloved hands. The towering Final Days sculpture welcomes visitors to the museum.
