Daniel Arsham in London

Daniel Arsham in London

Daniel Arsham makes installations and objects that conjure a kind of mythical contemporary archeology. In a practice that spans film, painting, sculpture, and installation, the artist employs elements of architecture and performance that distort recognizable forms into corroded, calcified, or otherwise glitched-out artifacts.

Daniel Arsham got propelled into the world of jet-set when legendary American dance choreographer Merce Cunningham invited him to design the stage for the piece titled eyeSpace at the Miami Performing Arts Center in 2004.

In addition to the highly informative and extensive collection of major figures in modern pop art, I was impressed by the pristine interior. The colourful displays of works by famous artists provided great inspiration whilst helping me relax.

Fantastic modern art museum. Lots of pop art and great exhibits and installations from some well known artists. Lots of bold colours, a feast for the eyes. Great ticket price too. Not too crowded, always an important factor when visiting galleries / art museums. Best museum I’ve been to in a while.

I loved it. Exciting, memorable, inspiring. There are artists whose work I would’ve never discovered otherwise — like Robbie Williams’ creations beyond music… amazing! I truly hope more and more big cities will have something like this.
