Paris Hilton's fascination with NFTs and digital art.

From Icon to NFT Pioneer

Paris Hilton’s journey into the world of NFTs began in March 2020, when she minted a portrait of her kitten Munchkin and sold it for $17,000. All proceeds went to charity. What started as curiosity quickly became a deep commitment to the possibilities of digital art and blockchain technology.

Today, Hilton owns over 150 NFTs in her personal collection, ranging from works by established digital artists to pieces by emerging creators. Her favourite artists in the space include Grimes, Zedd, Calvin Harris, Pak (known for high-profile drops on Sotheby’s and Nifty Gateway), FriendsWithYou + Diplo, and Blake Kathryn.

Empowering Creators Through Technology

For Hilton, the appeal of NFTs goes beyond collecting. She sees the technology as a tool for creative empowerment, giving artists more control over their work both artistically and economically. Without traditional gatekeepers, creators can connect directly with their audiences and retain ownership of their art in ways that were previously impossible.

“Empowered women empower women.” — Paris Hilton

Hilton’s involvement in NFTs is part of a broader interest in how technology can democratise creative industries. Her next project, Origin Protocol, aims to extend this vision further, exploring new intersections between art, technology, and community.

NFTs at Moco Museum

A piece from Paris Hilton’s collection has been included in the Moco Museum NFT exhibition, which was among the first museum exhibitions in Europe dedicated to NFT and digital art. The exhibition explores how blockchain technology is reshaping the art world, from creation and ownership to display and preservation.
