PAIN Arrives in Moco Museum London for Fashion Week
Uncommon Creative Studio presents PAIN \u2014 a rigged arcade claw machine that serves as a powerful metaphor for the pursuit of unattainable success in today\u2019s culture.
Created by Nils Leonard and the team at Uncommon Creative Studio, PAIN made its debut during London Fashion Week (19-22 February 2026) at Moco Museum London. The installation will remain on view for one month from 19 February 2026.
The work takes the form of an arcade claw machine — a universally recognized symbol of frustration and false promise. But this machine is rigged: no matter how skilled the player, the prize remains forever out of reach. It’s a commentary on the cycles of desire, aspiration, and disappointment that define modern consumer culture and the fashion industry.
PAIN sits at the intersection of art and social commentary, perfectly aligned with Moco Museum’s mission to present art that challenges, provokes, and inspires conversation.
“We wanted to create something that everyone instantly recognises, but that carries a deeper truth about the world we live in.” — Nils Leonard, Uncommon Creative Studio

In addition to the highly informative and extensive collection of major figures in modern pop art, I was impressed by the pristine interior. The colourful displays of works by famous artists provided great inspiration whilst helping me relax.

Fantastic modern art museum. Lots of pop art and great exhibits and installations from some well known artists. Lots of bold colours, a feast for the eyes. Great ticket price too. Not too crowded, always an important factor when visiting galleries / art museums. Best museum I’ve been to in a while.

I loved it. Exciting, memorable, inspiring. There are artists whose work I would’ve never discovered otherwise — like Robbie Williams’ creations beyond music… amazing! I truly hope more and more big cities will have something like this.
