Planet Positive Disruption
Amsterdam-based street artist Frankey is known for creating non-destructive installations in public spaces. Using magnets, zip ties, and double-sided tape, Frankey transforms everyday urban environments without leaving a permanent mark. His approach is playful, thoughtful, and rooted in a deep respect for the city he works in.
One of Frankey’s signature tactics is wearing fluorescent orange construction vests while installing his work. The disguise allows him to operate in plain sight, blending in with the urban landscape as though he were a city worker rather than an artist. It is a quiet act of subversion that mirrors the wit embedded in his art.
The Planet Positive Disruption exhibition at Moco Museum Amsterdam brings Frankey’s work indoors, giving visitors the chance to experience his unique brand of street art up close. His pieces challenge the notion that street art must be aggressive or destructive. Instead, they offer a vision of creative disruption that leaves the world a little better than it found it.
